I sat admiring how my daughter and her friend were enjoying the delights of summer, such as a spray park. One of the reasons I love Buffalo is because we never take a beautiful day for granted. Because of our harsh winters (actually this past one wasn’t bad at all), we know what a gift a lovely day can be. How you view your personal finances isn’t much different. It’s important to recognize and be grateful for those times when things are going well. If we don’t have difficult times to contrast the abundant times, we can grow spoiled, ungrateful, unsatisfied. Like trying to direct a spolied child by stating that they should “Be happy with what you already have”, we should also heed that same advice in our lives. Count your blessings. If nothing else, be thankful that the sun is still shining.
